- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪UPDATE: Thank you Chris for accommodating us and scheduling us so promptly for a new appointment. It is very much appreciated. ORIGINAL: My wife and I went for her 20 week ultrasound on Thursday evening. When we got there we were asked for referral form, unfortunately we were not aware that we needed to bring it with us and did not have it. (Not sure why they wouldn't have a digital copy of it. I guess we don't have the technology for that) We asked if there were something we could do as we had made the appointment weeks ago and are going to be out of town next week. The receptionist said that we could go to a walk in clinic and get a referral from from a doctor. We went to the walk in clinic and got in really quickly. I decided to phone North Shore Imaging to keep them updated on our progress, they however don't answer there phones even though they were still open. While my wife was in a treatment room still waiting to see the doctor I drove back to North Shore Imaging to let them know that my wife was in seeing the doctor and we would be back in 5 min. At this time there was a new receptionist that advised me that they could no longer take us as it had been too long. The whole time frame from when we were told to get the referral from the walk in clinic was approximately 30 minutes. I am not sure if they have ever been to a walk in clinic but 30 minutes is probably a new record for how quick you can go through one. At that time I said to the receptionist that the practice of not answering their phone when they are still open was ridiculous and that they should not have advised us to go to a walk in clinic if it was not an option that would actually allow us to have our appointment. Her reply was do you want to make another appointment! obviously not very happy at the time I left without responding to her so I could go and pick up my wife.by Allister KyleDecember 21, 2016
