- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪DO NOT BUY PET INSURANCE THROUGH TRUPANION! What a scam. They jack up their rates as your pet ages once they know you are stuck with them and can't afford to start a new policy elsewhere. Our Bernese' rates increased 34% last month without any advanced notice (and we have made no recent claims). They also quietly removed the "no greater than 20% annual increase to premiums" from their policy guide without informing customers. Hugely deceptive pricing scheme.
