Reviews about The Foundation for Integrated Health
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My 14 yr old son sustained a concussion during a hockey game. This was his second concussion. The first one was 3 yrs ago. Numerous hockey friends recommended that he see Dr Drake who specializes in concussions. Best decision we made. She was able to identify exactly which areas of his brain were affected by the concussion. For example, his sense of smell was off and his left eye was not tracking, plus a few other ares that needed attention. She used cold laser therapy along with other treatments. I found this remarkable. An emergency room doctor or your family doctor has very little training in identifying specific damage from a concussion. Their standard advice is to rest and limit physical activity until the headaches are gone. Dr. Drake has the tools to fix and repair the damage before it becomes a problem. She is also in the process of setting up a Concussion Baseline test which can be used to best treat your child if they do get a concussion. She clearly loves her job and is a fountain of knowledge! We are grateful that she helped our son.by Amanda PouliotMay 22, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I don’t think there is a treatment center in the city that cares as much about your wellbeing as the Foundation for Integrated Health. The people are super friendly, tremendously supportive, and have really cared about my treatment and progression. I was hit in a 4-car collision several months ago while travelling in the US where I sustained whiplash injuries to my back and neck. At first the injuries didn’t seem like much, but after a while the symptoms increased to a point where it was painful at work and I wasn`t in any shape to enjoy high intensity weekend activities. Initially I started massage therapy sessions once a week, where Mally Westlake, RMT began treating my back, shoulders, and neck. Mally is by far the most empathetic and caring RMT I have encountered. She always listens politely as I try to describe the pain I`m feeling, and customizes each treatment session to reflect this. She has educated me on what muscle groups are causing me problems, and will often explain the techniques she’s using. It is evident that Mally takes a great deal of pride in her work and genuinely wants to make a difference. And for me, she has. As a complement to massage therapy, Dr. Paul Diwana treated me in a series of chiropractor sessions, and I have felt my body improving with each visit. Dr. Diwana uses a very unique, non-invasive technique that uses a series of gentle tools (rather than aggressive neck-cracking) and he does it expertly. The frequency and intensity of my whiplash pain has improved significantly, and I have gone from having severe pain for days on end to now being close to full recovery. I have recommended the Foundation for Integrated Health to my friends and family - this place is the bomb! From the front staff (Lisa+Mary) cheerfully putting up with my changing schedule to my treatment team (Mally+Dr. Diwana), the service is as friendly as it comes, the treatments are effective, prices are reasonable, and the space is relaxing. These guys will take good care of you. Thanks again!!by Nicholas RossDecember 24, 2016
